LVMH has launched an accelerator program at the Station F start-up campus in Paris

French group LVMH has launched an accelerator program at the Station F start-up campus in Paris in a bid to invent new products and services for the luxury market.

Called La Maison des Startups, the program is for entrepreneurs whose innovations are relevant to the group’s 70 maisons across its Wines & Spirits, Fashion & Leather Goods, Perfumes & Cosmetics, Watches & Jewelry and Selective Retailing divisions.

The program will welcome 50 international start-ups each year in two six-month terms and some 89 workstations have been set up in the 220m2 (2,368ft2) LVMH space.

Of the start-ups that have joined the program, more than half were identified through the LVMH Innovation Award presented at the Viva Technology event for start-ups in 2016 and 2017. The program will also welcome LVMH employees whose projects have won awards during different editions of the DARE LVMH initiative, which aims to develop innovative ideas among the group’s employees.

Participants in the LVMH program will benefit from personalized coaching and support from LVMH group experts, networking events, workshops that highlight the challenges facing the luxury industry and pitch sessions where they will present to representatives from LVMH.

Start-up incubator Station F was created by French entrepreneur Xavier Niel and inaugurated in June 2017.
