Swiss flavor and fragrance company Givaudan posted sales of CHF4.66bn ($4.67bn) for the first nine months of 2019. Sales were up 6.4% on a like-for-like basis and grew 14.5% in Swiss Francs. Growth was seen across all product segments and geographies, according to Givaudan.
Sales in the Fragrance Division increased 8.5% like-for-like (+11.2% in Swiss Francs) to CHF2.09bn ($2.09bn), driven by new wins and price increases to compensate for the impact of higher input costs.
Fine Fragrance sales were up 8% like-for-like, while sales of Fragrance Ingredients and Active Beauty grew 9.3% like-for-like.
In the third quarter, Givaudan’s group sales were up 6.5% like-for-like (+12.5% in Siwss Francs) to CHF1.49bn ($1.49bn). Fragrance division sales increased 8.3% like-for-like (+10.8% in Swiss Francs) to CHF709m ($709.8m).
For the full year, Givaudan aims to outperform the market with sales growth of between 4% and 5%.
