Brazil-based Natura reported net income of R$256.8m (US$78.8m) for the fourth quarter of 2017, growth of 23%. Comparable net income for the quarter rose 29.9% to R$271.2m ($83m).
Consolidated net revenue increased 62.7% to R$3.73bn ($1.14bn).
In the fourth quarter, sales of the Natura brand were up 9%, driven by 6.5% sales growth in Brazil and 17.5% growth in Latam.
Aesop revenues were up 27.2% in the period.
The Body shop revenues increased 2.1%, boosted by higher sales through franchisee and online channels, and improved performance in North America and APAC.
For full year 2017, Natura’s consolidated net revenue increased 24.5% to R$9.85bn ($3.02bn), including four months of revenue from The Body Shop. On a pro-forma basis, revenue rose 1.8% in Brazilian Real and grew 7.2% at constant exchange rates.
Consolidated net income increased 117.5% to R$670.3m ($205.6m) in 2017. On a comparable basis, net income rose 183.5% to RS$873.8m ($268m)
