Japan’s Shiseido is to sell its bodycare brand Ferzea and eczema and dermatitis cream brand Encron to Japanese consumer-goods company Lion Corporation.
Ferzea and Encron are distributed by Shiseido Pharmaceutical Company.
Shiseido said the divestment is part of its “selection and concentration” plan for brands and businesses as part of its Vision 2020 strategy.
The transaction, terms of which were not disclosed, is set to be completed on July 31, 2019. Shiseido said the deal will have an insignificant impact on its consolidated financial results for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2019.
