MEADFA Conference
The board of the Middle East & Africa Duty Free Association (MEADFA) has cancelled the MEADFA Conference, which was due to take place on November 23-24 in Dubai.
The decision was taken due to the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the travel-retail industry, as well as ongoing uncertainty surrounding travel restrictions.
MEADFA plans to launch a series of interactive online forums. The webinars will present the views of the three key industry stakeholders in turn: Retailers, brands and landlords.
MEADFA will also maintain its training event program with a new e-learning format.
Also in a bid to ease financial pressures for its members, MEADFA will defer membership fees for a year.
