Unilever Ventures invests in Dr Roebuck’s

Dr Roebuck’s is present in 20 countries

Unilever’s venture capital and private-equity arm Unilever Ventures has invested in Australian skincare brand Dr Roebuck’s.

“Dr Roebuck’s appealed to us because it is a brand that really lives and breathes clean beauty and its Australian lifestyle roots,” commented Unilever Ventures director Rachel Harris.

The new capital will be used to ramp up the brand’s growth, expand its infrastructure and invest in R&D and new product development.

Launched in 2016 by sisters Zoe and Kim Roebuck, Dr Roebuck’s is present in 20 countries. It is sold in more than 2,000 doors and online through Sephora, SpaceNK, Cult Beauty and Shopper’s Drug Mart. The brand launched in Sephora Europe and Southeast Asia in April, and plans to scale its direct retail operations globally.
