Retail Store concepts A new take on shopping A look at new store ideas from both the domestic and travel-retail markets Qatar Duty Free launches East meets West pop-up Travel-retail operator Qatar Duty Free launched a fragrance pop-up store in collaboration with L’Oréal Luxe at Hamad International Airport, Doha in August. The pop-up store, called When East Meets West and located in the airport’s departures concourse, showcases fragrances from fve brands in L’Oréal’s Luxe division: Lancôme, Giorgio Armani, Yves Saint Laurent, Ralph Lauren and Viktor & Rolf. Each of the brands showcases oriental and Western-style fragrances from their portfolios. Armani for example, features scents from its Armani Privé 2015 Fashion Edition Sable Or and Sable Fumé along with Acqua di Giò and Sì. The Yves Saint Laurent brand presents fashion pieces from its Oriental Collection and the Black Opium fragrance, while Lancôme shows its new Oud Bouquet fragrance, as well as Trésor and Trésor Nuit. Meanwhile, Viktor & Rolf showcases Flowerbomb Rose Explosion and Ralph Lauren presents its Polo Suprême Oud and Polo Red Intense fragrances. s The pop-up store showcases oriental and The When East Meets West pop-up shop also offers a bottle engraving Western-style fragrances from five L’Oréal brands service for consumers. Bulgari to unveil travel-retail pop-up LVMH-owned brand Bulgari is to open its frst fragrance pop-up store in Paris at Charles de Gaulle airport in October. The store will be located at terminal S4 and will be open from October 1-31. The store is designed to be what Bulgari calls a jeweler’s temple and evoke the brand’s history. It will focus on the links between Bulgari’s jewelry and fragrance and feature the brand’s most prestigious perfume collections, including Eau Parfumée—the brand’s frst fragrance, which launched in 1992. A key feature of the store will be the brand’s collection of six high-end fragrances Le Gemme. Bulgari’s new women’s fragrance Goldea will also be on show. An oval counter at the center of the store will present interactive animations for the consumer. The store will offer a Japanese tea ceremony with four types of tea: green, white, red and blue, which correspond to different fragrance notes.
