China lifts animal testing requirements for ordinary cosmetics

Imported ordinary cosmetics will no longer have to undergo animal testing in China from May 1, according to new guidelines published by China’s National Medical Products Administration. Ordinary cosmetics refer to most cosmetics except for hair dye and suncare.
