JCPenney owners put in bid for Kohl’s, says report

Mall landlords Simon Property Group and Brookfield Asset Management have put in a bid to acquire US department-store chain Kohl’s, according to a report by The New York Post.

The deal could value the department-store chain at $8.6bn.
