AirAsia resumes domestic operations

AirAsia is set to resume scheduled domestic flights starting with Malaysia on April 29. The resumption will be followed by Thailand and the Philippines on May 1, India on May 4, and Indonesia on May 7, subject to approval from the authorities.

The resumption will begin with key selected domestic routes, and will then increase gradually to include international destinations around the network, once the situation improves and governments lift borders and travel restrictions, the company says.

The news comes after AirAsia announced temporary flight suspensions on March 26 across its domestic and international flights due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
