Alipay presents award to L’Oréal Travel Retail Asia Pacific

L’Oréal Travel Retail Asia Pacific awarded 2021 Best Digital Innovation Award in travel retail from Alipay International Business Group

L’Oréal Travel Retail Asia Pacific has been awarded the 2021 Best Digital Innovation Award in travel retail from Alipay International Business Group. Alipay says the award recognizes L’Oréal’s digital transformation in travel retail by offering Chinese travelers seamless online and offline shopping experiences.

L’Oréal Travel Retail Asia Pacific claims to be the first international beauty group in the travel-retail industry to debut an official cooperation with Alipay. The company has worked with Alipay since 2020. The partnership has led to the co-creation of online and offline touchpoints throughout the traveler’s journey, says the company.

By using digital solutions on the Alipay platform, L’Oréal’s content and marketing initiatives resulted in 10 brand activations in travel retail. This includes Lancôme’s “Let’s Reset for A Blooming New Year” campaign, Armani Beauty’s Crema Nera and SkinCeuticals’ tech-driven exhibition.
