Aptar Beauty + Home to invest €42m in new French site

Packaging manufacturer Aptar Beauty + Home is to invest €42m to build a new site in France in a bid to strengthen its prestige beauty offer.

The new facility will bring together five sites in the Oyonnax region in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France. It will span 25,000m2 (269,097ft2) and be operational in spring 2023.

In the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region, Aptar has 22 production sites, including eight in France. The manufacturer says its strategy is to have facilities close to its customers.

Aptar says that the new site’s technology will allow it to offer its clients a wider range of products.

Aptar adds that the facility will save 45% of energy and reduce CO2 emissions by 58% compared to 2018 levels. Aptar also claims the new site is part of its commitment to “Made in France” production.
