Three social-media experts will explore how beauty brands can inspire creators and win over consumers on short-video app TikTok during a panel at the inaugural Beauty Tech Live event, which will take place from April 12-16.
Beauty Tech Live is the first B2B virtual event that brings together the worlds of beauty and tech. The event will feature a series of conferences, panel discussions, talks and case studies from beauty and tech thought leaders, innovators and disruptors, with the aim of providing unique insights on how digital is impacting the beauty market. Beauty Tech Live will also house a premium expo space for select companies in the area of beauty tech. The event is organized by BW Confidential in partnership with the Moodie Davitt Virtual Expo Company.
The panel on TikTok strategies will be led by Conor Begley, Co-founder and President of Tribe Dynamics, a leading influencer marketing analytics platform for the beauty, fashion, and lifestyle industries. Conor has been named one of the 100 Most Influential People in Influencer Marketing by Influence Weekly and was recognized as one of the 100 Leaders of Tomorrow by St. Gallen’s Symposium.
He will be joined by executives from two brands that have seen strong success on TikTok: Blair Badge, Director of Marketing of Los Angeles-based cult skincare brand Summer Fridays, and Madeline Davis, Senior Social Media Manager at vegan beauty brand Youth To The People.
The three executives will discuss data-driven strategies for engaging creators and making a brand’s story stand out on today’s fastest-growing social-media platform.
The panel promises to offer key insights into how to use Tik Tok, which over the past few years has evolved from an emerging social app for teens into an established hub for online conversation and a powerful marketing engine for beauty and lifestyle brands. But although TikTok’s influence on consumer behavior is undeniable, many marketers are still struggling to master the platform’s unique short-video format and crack its elusive algorithm.
Other speakers at the pioneering Beauty Tech Live event include: Lubomira Rochet, Chief Digital Officer of L’Oréal, Jun Dong, Managing Director of Tmall Global Beauty, Alibaba Group, Jean-Denis Mariani, Chief Digital Officer of Coty, Javier Bach, Chief Operating Officer of Puig, Malina Ngai, Group Chief Operating Officer of A.S.
