China has not set a gross domestic product (GDP) target for the first time, due to uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
This is the first time since 1990, when China began publishing GDP goals, that the country has not issued a target.
China’s growth in the first quarter of this year fell by 6.8% due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
