Colep Consumer Products launches innovation award

Portugal-based contract manufacturing group Colep Consumer Products has launched the Beautyvibe Innovation Awards, which aim to support innovation in formulation, packaging, sustainability, digital and social impact.

Start-ups, universities, research centers and companies across Europe that are developing solutions for the beauty industry can submit applications from now until May 31.

Applications will be assessed across five categories: product innovation, packaging innovation, sustainability innovation, digital innovation, and social impact.

The winning project will receive mentoring, support aimed at speeding up the development of the project within the Colep’s network, and access to the Colep Innovation Hub in Vale de Cambra, Portugal.

The selected project will also be showcased at the Beautyvibe Innovation Day and featured across the company’s digital channels, international network and at global trade fairs. Beautyvibe is Colep’s platform offering both ready-made and customized solutions for the beauty industry.

Applications will be evaluated by a multidisciplinary jury panel including Ana Côrte Real, Head of Faculty and Corporate Relations and Director of the Executive MBA at Porto Business School; Andrea Pesce, Cosmetics Marketing Consultant; Carlos Maurício Barbosa, President of the General Assembly of the Portuguese Society of Cosmetic Sciences; Elena Setaro, CEO and Co-Founder of Dermaself; Laura Estebanez, President of APTAR Beauty EMEA; Sarah Fairneny, Vice-President of R&D at Wella Company; Pierfranco Accardo, CEO of Colep Consumer Products; and Luisella Bovera, Vice-President of BeautyVibe at Colep Consumer Products.

Applications can be submitted through an online portal available on Colep’s digital channels and Beautyvibe. Participants are required to provide a brief project description and a pitch deck, with the option to include a short video.
