French cosmetics cluster Cosmetic Valley is to change its Cosmetic 360 trade show due to take place in Paris in October to a digital format in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Now called e-Cosmetic 360, the event will take place on the new dates of October 12-13. The new format is a response to the likely restrictions on travel.
Exhibitors at the event will be able to present their innovations in virtual showcases. There will also be webinars, chats and videos through which they can interact with industry players around the world.
“The virtual dimension of the e-COSMETIC 360 show is intended to be a business and innovation accelerator – it may be more the case now than ever. Companies, brands, innovation centers need revival, sharing and collective emulation,” comments Franckie Béchereau, director of the show.
Béchereau adds that the digital format will enable the event to welcome more exhibitors and visitors and from more areas. “We will further accelerate our communication around cross-innovation, between cosmetics and other key sectors, such as technology, science, the environment, agriculture, food, health, logistics and services ” she says.
Cosmetic Valley will also organize a forum for the French perfumes and cosmetics industry on October 14-15, which will bring together the leaders of French companies. “It is obvious that the crisis is accelerating change and will create disruptions. Our theme – New recovery, New Growth – should give a big signal of the acceleration of change happening in the cosmetics sector,” states Christophe Masson, managing director of Cosmetic Valley.
