The fourth edition of Cosmoprof India opens its doors today at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India. The trade show, organized by BolognaFiere and Informa Markets, runs from December 7-9. It covers all sectors of the beauty industry, from ingredients to finished products.
As of September, the 2023 show had registered a 36% increase in new exhibitors versus last year. More than 450 exhibitors are anticipated for this year’s show and 78% of those already confirmed in September were from India, which Cosmoprof says represents the development of the local industry. International exhibitor numbers had grown 19% as of September versus 2022, which Cosmoprof attributes to new initiatives from both local and international governments and associations to enhance networking. More than 9,000 attendees are anticipated at Cosmoprof India 2023, 20% more than last year.
Cosmoprof India will include country and group pavilions from Italy, South Korea, Taiwan, Australia and the UK. A dedicated buyer program will host key players from India and neighboring countries, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Europe. The show will also feature Cosmotalks seminars, Cosmo Onstage demonstrations and the Cosmoprof India Awards.
Cosmoprof highlights that the Indian market is experiencing high demand for personal care, skincare and fragrances as a result of new consumer habits, the devlopment of e-commerce and increased willingness to spend more for quality.
