Coty has completed the purchase of a 20% stake in the Kim Kardashian West Business for $200m. The deal, which was announced in June last year, was completed it the third quarter of the group’s fiscal year 2021.
Coty plans to launch new categories for the brand, while expanding it globally. The Kim Kardashian West skincare line is expected to launch in fiscal year 2022.
Coty says it sees Kim Kardashian West as a high-growth direct-to-consumer (DTC) first beauty brand. Products will be sold through leading luxury beauty retailers, as well as owned digital channels.
Kardashian West has 300 million followers across her personal and brand social media channels.
