Coty has named Markus Strobel Executive Chairman of the board and Interim CEO, effective January 1, 2026.
Strobel succeeds Peter Harf, who will retire from Coty’s board after more than three decades and CEO Sue Nabi, who will leave the company after five years in the position.
Strobel joins Coty after a 33-year career at Procter & Gamble (P&G), where he was most recently President of P&G’s Global Skin & Personal Care business that included a multi-billion-dollar portfolio of more than 12 global brands.
Coty says Strobel is recognized for re-organizing P&G Beauty and for revitalizing SK-II. During his tenure, Strobel held senior roles across Beauty & Grooming spanning fine fragrance, hair care, and grooming. This included leading brands like Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino and Hugo Boss.
Coty says that Strobel will lead Coty at what it calls a ‘pivotal moment’ for the company. Coty recently put its Consumer Beauty business up for review.
