Fragrance house CPL Aromas opened a new office and fine fragrance center in Shanghai on December 12. CPL Aromas says the opening reflects its commitment to China’s fast-growing fragrance market.

The opening ceremony was attended by Thomas Woo, Managing Director Far East; Ruby Wang, Sales Director; Nelly di Mercurio; Director of Marketing and Communication; Lam Siu-Chung, Principal Perfumer; and Kevin Mathys, Principle Perfumer.

The opening coincided with the presentation of MORPHESIS, CPL Aromas’ annual Global Macrotrend collection which was first revealed in June in Barcelona, Spain. MORPHESIS combines two concepts: Metamorphosis, symbolizing radical change, and Genesis, representing origin.

The collection is meant to reflect the evolving nature of fragrance today. It is built around five elemental concepts: The egg, the seed, the chrysalis, the amber and the atom.

CPL Aromas also previewed a new technology, to officially launch soon.
