
Italian brand Dolce&Gabbana has extended its Devotion franchise with the launch of an intense and parfum versions of the fragrance for men and women.
The new women’s scent, My Devotion Eau de Parfum Intense, is a floral gourmand fragrance created by dsm-firmenich master perfumer Olivier Cresp. It opens with pear blossom and cassis, has a heart of peony and orange blossom, and a base of Madagascar and musky Ambrox. It comes in a light pink lacquered glass bottle with a matching cap, and features the brand’s gold sacred heart. The campaign features singer Katy Perry and is set in Capri.
The new Devotion for Men Parfum is a woody fougère scent also created by Olivier Cresp. It opens with lavender, lemon and black pepper, has a heart of coffee, – a link to the original Devotion For Men EdP – and cypress, and a base of Madagascar vanilla, guaiac wood and oakmoss.
The fragrance comes in a tinted glass bottle with the Devotion For Men sacred heart and is topped with a silver cap. The campaign, shot by director and screenwriter Giuseppe Tornatore, is set in the historic center of Palermo and features TV star Maya Jama and actor Michele Morrone.


Also in fragrance, Dolce&Gabbana has unveiled two new additions for its Velvet Collection: Velvet Honey Santal and Velvet Passion Oud. The fragrances aim to reimagine what the brand describes as two traditionally addictive ingredients. Velvet Honey Santal is a woody gourmand scent created by Takasago perfumer Aurélien Guichard and pays homage to Sicilian Honey. Velvet Passion Oud, composed by IFF perfumer Paul Guerlain, is a fruity oud scent. The fragrances began rolling out in October.
Dolce&Gabanna has launched a layering experience on its website to enable consumers to explore possible combinations within the Velvet collection. This is aimed at either enhancing a facet in the fragrance by emphasizing an ingredient, or adding new nuances to create an original blend.


Meanwhile, in make-up the brand has come out with a string of new launches. Paint Me Up! is a collection of six all-over shades designed to be mixed, layered and worn anywhere on the face. It includes four rich pigments and two multi-finish toppers, and the formulas feature Italian olive oil and tomato seed oil to hydrate the skin and Vitamin C.
It’s Lit is an all-over micro highlighter in pencil format designed for targeted application and comes in three shades. The creamy gel texture formulas include Italian rose and vegan collagen.
Also in color, the brand has introduced the Ever Icon Palette. The eyeshadow palette comprises six long-wear colors in matte, satin and shimmer finishes. The palette comes in the shape of a gold heart. The Everlast Concealer is a high-coverage 24-hour wear formula that is water- and sweat-resistant; it is available in 30 shades. In nails, the brand has launched a new ultra-glossy red lacquer.
