dsm-firmenich names new perfumery & beauty president

dsm-firmenich has appointed Emmanuel Butstraen as President of its Perfumery & Beauty business

 

Flavor and fragrance company dsm-firmenich has appointed Emmanuel Butstraen as President of its Perfumery & Beauty business. Butstraen will take on the position from July 1, while retaining his Chief Integration Officer role.

Since May 2022, Butstraen has had a key role in the merger of dsm-firmenich, the company said.

Prior to his appointment as Chief Integration Officer, Butstraen was President of Taste & Beyond at Firmenich since 2018. Previously he was President of Solvay’s Novecare global business unit, and before that he spent 17 years at BASF, where he was Strategy Senior Vice President of the Agricultural Products division.

He takes over the perfumery and beauty role from Ilaria Resta, who will leave the company on July 1. Resta will become CEO of a watchmaker.

Butstraen will report to Co-CEO Dimitri de Vreeze.
