Dubai Duty Free re-opens Terminal 2 operations

Travel retailer Dubai Duty Free (DDF) has re-opened its Terminal 2 retail operations in Dubai International Airport.

It re-opened its retail area in Concourse B – West earlier this month as the airport began resuming operations with the re-launch of Emirates flights at the end of May.

As reported, the travel retailer temporarily closed on March 25, in line with the UAE government’s decision to suspend flights, in order to curb the spread of COVID-19.

With the partial re-opening, Dubai Duty Free has implemented new hygienic and social distancing protocols. Measures include directional floor markings, a one shopper one trolly policy, plexiglass installation at the point of sale and cash and product sanitization equipment.

Shoppers are also encouraged to use contactless payments where possible. In-store digital and print signage has also been installed to remind shoppers of the safety measures.

Dubai Duty Free has also introduced a Concierge Service in Concourse B – West. Customers can order products from the concierge counter and a DDF employee will pick up the goods and deliver them to the customer for payment.
