The 32nd edition of the Fragrance Foundation France Awards, which recognize fragrance excellence, were held last night at the Pavillon Gabriel in Paris. The award winners were announced at a ceremony, which was followed by a gala dinner attended by some 450 industry executives.
Jean Paul Gaultier (Puig) was a big winner of the evening, walking away with three awards. Jean Paul Gaultier won Best Men’s Fragrance of the Year in the People’s Choice category for Le Male Elixir, while the Gaultier Divine fragrance won Best Bottle Design Among Women’s Launches and Best Communication among Women’s Fragrances in the Professional Awards category.
Lancôme’s La Vie est Belle Iris Absolu won the Best Women’s Fragrance of the Year in the People’s Choice category.
The Best Fragrance among Women’s Launches in the Professional Awards category went to Burberry Goddess (Coty).
In the Professional Awards category, the Fragrance Foundation France awarded a Special Prize this year to MYSLF by Yves Saint Laurent Beauté (L’Oréal).
Givenchy (LVMH) won two awards – Best Women’s Line Extension in an Existing Range in the Professional Awards category and Best Fragrance from a Brand Belonging to a Group in the Niche Awards category.
This year, the Fragrance Foundation France added two new awards to The People’s Choice category: the Best Fragrance Customer Experience at Point of Sale and Best Customer Experience in E-Commerce, which both went to retailer Sephora.
Finally, in a bid to give more visibility to younger brands, the assoication created the Best Fragrance from a Young Independent Brand Under Five Years Old award in the Niche Awards category. Vanilla Riviera from Maison Rebatchi took home this award.
