Swiss flavor and fragrance company Givaudan has launched a humanitarian fund to offer financial support to victims of major crises, such as natural disasters, pandemics and conflict in areas where the company is present.
To coincide with the launch, Givaudan will donate CHF100,000 ($112,000) to the Spanish Red Cross to support response and recovery efforts in communities impacted by the recent flooding in Valencia, Spain. Givaudan currently has four sites across Spain.
Givaudan says the new fund will help improve the impact and efficiency of its humanitarian donations. It will be centrally administered but will enable any Givaudan colleague to propose a relevant donation in their location.
