Beauty brand Glossier will furlough its retail teams in New York, Los Angeles and London, from June 1, Glossier founder and ceo Emily Weiss said in a company blog post.

The company will continue to cover benefits, including healthcare, through August.

As reported, Glossier closed all its retail locations on March 13 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The brand has two permanent stores in New York and Los Angeles, and one semi-permanent location in London.

In an update on April 17, the company said it would continue to pay all employees for scheduled shifts throughout the month of May.

However, the company moved to furloughing staff due to the uncertainties surrounding re-opening.
