International Flavors and Fragrances (IFF) has named Erik Fyrwald CEO and member of the board of Directors, effective February 6, 2024. Fyrwald will replace Frank Clyburn, who will work closely with Fyrwald until March 31, before becoming an advisor until December.
Fyrwald was most recently CEO of agriculture company Syngenta. Before that, he was CEO of chemical company Univar Solutions and water treatment provider Nalco. He has also held a number of executive roles with chemical manufacturer DuPont, including in the company’s Agriculture and Nutrition business.
IFF said it projects its full year 2023 sales to be in line with its previously stated guidance range of $11.3bn to $11.6bn. It also anticipates full year 2023 adjusted operating EBITDA to be at the mid-to-high end of its previously stated guidance range of $1.85bn to $2.0bn.
