Interparfums Chairman and CEO Philippe Benacin and Givaudan Vice President Perfumer and Director of the Givaudan Perfumery School Calice Becker received awards honoring their work in the fragrance industry at this year’s US Fragrance Foundation Awards, which took place virtually on June 10.
Benacin was this year’s recipient of The Fragrance Foundation’s Hall of Fame award. Benacin launched Interparfums with co-founder Jean Madar in 1982 and was described as being instrumental in shaping the luxury perfume industry.
Becker was the recipient of this year’s Lifetime Achievement Perfumer award. Becker has created fragrances such as J’adore by Christian Dior, Intoxicated by Kilian, Velvet Orchid by Tom Ford, Dylan Blue by Versace and Tommy Girl by Tommy Hilfiger.
