Following their merger in August 2022, Information Resources, Inc and The NPD Group have rebranded as Circana.
Circana claims to track millions of products spanning 2,000 categories across 500,000 stores in 20 countries. Circana advises almost 7,000 brands and retailers worldwide.
The name Circana was chosen to convey the two companies coming together to provide clients with a full-circle perspective on the market and consumer, the company said.
“As Circana, we are uniquely positioned to bring clients a complete view of the consumer, store, and wallet,” said Circana President and CEO Kirk Perry.
For beauty, Circana claims to provide the only point-of-sale data available for both the prestige and mass markets.
Current beauty industry coverage spans the following countries: the US, Canada, UK, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Netherlands, Greece, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Puerto Rico, China, Australia, and New Zealand.
