JD.com set to open 20 E-Store experience stores by 2025

Chinese e-commerce platform JD.com is set to open 20 E-Store experience stores in first-tier cities in mainland China by 2025, JD.com senior vice president and JD Electronics and Home Appliance president Yan Xiaobing said at a press conference.

The 20 new stores will be between 50,000m2 (538,195ft2) and 100,000m2 (1,076,391ft2).

JD’s E-Space launched on Singles Day, November 11, 2019. The stores offer customers hands-on experiences ranging across product categories.

The online platform’s net revenues grew 33.8% to Rmb201.1bn ($28.5bn) in the second quarter compared to the same period in 2019.
