Kering names Laurent Claquin Group Chief Brand Officer

Luxury goods giant Kering has appointed Laurent Claquin to the new position of Group Chief Brand Officer, effective July 1, 2024. He will join the Executive Committee and will report to Jean-Marc Duplaix, Deputy CEO of Kering.

Kering says the newly created role aims to increase the appeal of Kering’s corporate brand as well as its visibility and influence. Claquin will be responsible for the coordination of Kering’s communications, both externally and internally, across all regions, following a unified editorial calendar and strategy.

In addition, Claquin will strengthen the communications efforts of Kering’s brands when appropriate and develop high-profile events that support their initiatives.

Claquin has been President of Kering Americas since 2012. He joined the company in 2005, holding several leadership roles, including Senior VP of Communications and Head of Corporate Social Responsibility. Claquin was CEO of Tomas Maier from 2017 to 2018. He started his career as a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and then worked at Jeu de Paume, Centre Pompidou and as Chief of Staff of the French Minister of Culture and Communication.
