L’Oréal names new heads for USA, Consumer Products Division, Europe and Travel Retail

L’Oréal has made a string of new appointments in its executive committee, effective January 1, 2026, with handovers starting from October 1, 2025.

David Greenberg will be appointed to the role of Chairman of L’Oréal USA. In this newly created position and what the group calls “highly strategic” role, Greenberg will represent the group with institutional stakeholders in a bid to “drive its reputation and ensure its license to operate in its largest global market”.

Greenberg has been with L’Oréal for 32 years and has held a range of leadership roles across various divisions, brands, and functions.

Under his leadership, the US became the group’s number one growth driver for three consecutive years, with L’Oreal Luxe becoming number one in the US and the North America Zone crossing the €10bn sales mark for the first time in 2022.

L’Oréal states that Greenberg was instrumental in accelerating and transforming the group’s Professional Products Division in North America, and played a critical role in the identification, integration, and expansion of American brands like NYX Professional Makeup, Essie, Matrix and most recently ColorWow.

Recently, he oversaw the inauguration of the new €140m research centre in Clark, NJ, the renovation of the NYC headquarters and the opening of new corporate offices in El Segundo California.

Commenting on this appointment, Nicolas Hieronimus, CEO of L’Oréal Group said: “This newly created role of Chairman of L’Oréal USA underscores the strategic importance of the US market for our future growth.”

He joined the executive committee in 2013, as President for Asia Pacific, while still managing China.

L’Oréal says that since assuming his current role in 2016, Perakis-Valat transformed the Consumer Products Division, which now reaches more than one billion consumers globally. The division has seen its sales increase from €12bn to €16bn, under his watch.

Megarbane, currently Chief Global Growth Officer, has spent 24-years at L’Oréal, including his role of CEO of L’Oréal China and President North Asia Zone.
