L’Oréal Travel Retail Europe, Middle East, Africa, India (TREMEAI) has opened two digitally-driven flagship stores for its Lancôme and YSL Beauty brands in the Doha Café, which recently opened at Doha International Airport in partnership with Qatar Duty Free.
The 60m2 (645ft2) Lancôme Doha Café store combines both the brand’s French heritage and digital elements. The space includes a digital pillar in the center, which is said to draw travelers into the shop, and is inspired by a French apartment with a chandelier and wooden flooring. The store includes a digital Shade Finder. The technology identifies up to 22,500 shades, accounts for skin intensity and undertone and recommends Lancôme foundation.
The YSL Beauty space covers 30m2 (323ft2) features AI-powered virtual try-on ModiFace technology to enable travelers to safely try on make-up.
The shop also offers an engraving service for selected products, and the brand’s skincare line YSL Pure Shots will also be available for the first time in L’Oréal TREMEAI. The range includes six products, of which four are refillable serums.
