L’Oréal announced a partnership with computing company Nvidia in what it says is a bid to supercharge beauty with next-generation AI. The group unveiled the partnership at a press conference this morning at the VivaTech show, which is taking place in Paris.
The partnership will see L’Oréal use Nvidia ’s AI Enterprise platform for rapid development and deployment of AI, such as the scaling of 3D digital rendering of L’Oréal products.
The companies said Nvidia ’s generative AI will enable the French group to deliver personalized marketing and advertising to improve consumer engagement and conversion
“Our focus is to drive unparalleled consumer engagement, with both creativity and technology, as transformative technologies such as gen AI & agentic AI redefine our consumer expectations,” said Asmita Dubey, Chief Digital and Marketing Officer of L’Oréal.
L’Oréal and Nvidia are already collaborating on several projects, including CREAITECH, the French group’s generative AI content platform. The platform develops and uses 3D digital rendering of L’Oréal’s products for faster development of marketing and advertising campaigns. L’Oréal adds that the 3D digital rendering of products, combined with generative AI, allows for more creative, scalable campaigns that improve consumer engagement across social media, e-commerce and influencer marketing.
Another project Noli (“No one like I”), showcased at the VivaTech show, is an AI powered multi-brand marketplace, founded and backed by L’Oréal. Noli claims to act as an AI beauty matchmaker to help consumers discover and make choices about which products to buy. Noli decodes a user’s beauty profile and matches them with products, which they can then buy and have delivered.
