Macy’s appoints new CEO

 

US department store Macy’s has appointed Tony Spring as CEO, replacing Jeff Gennette who will retire after 40 years at the retailer.

Spring, who is currently CEO of the Macy’s-owned Bloomingdale’s department store chain, will replace Jeff Gennette in February 2024.

Spring has spent 36 years at Bloomingdale’s

The company has not yet announced who will replace Spring.
