French fragrance and flavor company MANE has launched a photography competition called Capture What Moves in a bid to support young creative talent. The theme of the competition is “capturing the emotions generated by the senses of smell and taste”. It is open to recent graduates of art and photography schools from January 12 to March 8, 2024.
The competition has three categories central to MANE: Fragrances, flavours and nature. Photographers are asked to portray their interpretation of the impact that flavours, fragrances and nature have on the senses and emotions.
Entrants can compete in one or more categories and there are no size or format restrictions; however works must be original and the use of artificial intelligence is forbidden.
Entries will be judged by a jury of MANE employees and figures from the art world. A winner will be selected for each category, as well as a grand-prize winner.
The results will be announced on April 8, 2024. Each winner will be awarded a €2,000 prize and the grand-prize winner will be commissioned to photograph the MANE Group’s next corporate campaign. Additionally, one or more of the best photo series chosen by the jury will be published on the competition website and Instagram.
The jury consists of: Jean Mane, President of MANE and Jury President; Esau Angeles, Designer MANE; Pitpatsorn Bunditvatidkul, Savoury Marketing Manager MANE; Massimo Gardone, Photographer; Yohanne Lamoulère, Photographer; Laure Lapeyronnie, Marketing Manager Fine Fragrances MANE; Cécile Lavenu, MANE Communications Director; and Xavier Romatet, President of the Institut Français de la Mode.
