Marc Chaya is to leave his role of President and CEO of Maison Francis Kurkdjian, the fragrance company he co-founded with perfumer Francis Kurkdjian in 2009. The brand was acquired by LVMH in 2017.
Chaya will remain as a Strategic Advisor to Véronique Courtois, CEO of Parfums Christian Dior and CEO of the LVMH Group’s Beauty Division, while working on new projects.
Chaya’s departure is in line with agreements established with LVMH following the group’s acquisition of Maison Francis Kurkdjian.
Francis Kurkdjian, Co-founder, retains his role as Creative Director. Until the announcement of the brand’s future organization, Courtois will act as interim President with the support of Stéphane Augé, International Managing Director.
In a Linkedin post, Chaya commented: “When Francis and I started this Maison in 2009, we had a simple yet ambitious vision: to place creativity back at the heart of perfumery and give the perfumer a true voice. What followed has gone far beyond anything I could have imagined — a global adventure shaped by passion, human connections, and an unwavering pursuit of excellence.”
