France-based specialist in fragrance training and consulting Cinquième Sens has announced that Marc Jourdan-Gassin has become a partner and Managing Director of the company. Isabelle Ferrand will remain President of Cinquième Sens.
Jourdan-Gassin was most recently Vice President of Fine Fragrance Experience Europe at dsm-firmenich. He recently retired after 33 years with the company.
Cinquième Sens says the move is a key step in the company’s development.
“This development reflects a strategy of long-term planning; it clarifies our governance, consolidates our training and consulting positioning, and strengthens our ability to support players in the perfume industry in an increasingly complex environment,” says Ferrand.
The appointment follows the recent merger between Cinquième Sens Paris and Cinquième Sens Inc, which combined the concern into a single entity based in Paris.
The company says it will continue to develop new educational tools and modules and promote French olfactory and perfume culture both in France and internationally.
Cinquième Sens will soon mark its 50th anniversary.
