Mavive is to begin work on new headquarters

Italian fragrance company Mavive is to begin construction on new headquarters in Venice, Italy. The new building will cover 3,500m2 (37,673ft2).

Other key projects at Mavive include the roll out of its new brand, ALPS, which is based on outdoor lifestyles and the Alps mountains. The brand uses natural raw materials and sustainable packaging, and fragrances are based on neuroscientific techniques claimed to boost customers’ mental wellbeing.

Mavive has also inked a license with car and motorcycle company BMW Group to develop a new fragrance slated to launch in October.

In addition, the company will relaunch its Genny Noir fragrance this year from the Genny fashion brand, with two new scents.  

Mavive ended 2022 with a turnover of €37m, up 18% over 2021. This represented an increase of 26% over 2019. This was despite, component shortages, delays in deliveries and rising prices, as a result of the Ukraine war.

Exports in 2022 came in at €23.4m, up 19% over 2021. Exports account for 63% of the company’s turnover.

Turnover in Asia was up 24%, the Middle East rose 48%, Oceania increased 161%, while the Americas turnover was up 27%. Europe (excluding Italy) which, accounts for 40% of the company’s total turnover, increased by 9%.

In Italy, the company saw a turnover of €13.3m, up 19% over 2021.
