Japanese jewelry brand Mikimoto has partnered with US-based fragrance company Scent Beauty to launch its first fragrance. Created by perfumers Raymond Matts and Frank Voelkl (Firmenich), the Mikimoto Eau de Parfum is inspired by the brand’s “nautical identity” and its signature pearl jewelry.
The Eau de Parfum features top notes of sea breeze, grapefruit, orange bigarade, Sicilian lemon and bergamot. Its heart contains blend of iris and magnolia and is rounded out by ambergris, royal oud and sandalwood, coupled with saffron. The scent is described as gender-neutral. The bottle, created by designer Lance McGregor, is inspired by pearls and features a minimalist design with a curved silver facade and glass details.
The fragrance will be sold in the US onMikimoto’s US website and ScentBeauty.com. It retails at $275 (75ml EdP).
