Beauty e-commerce platform Thirteen Lune is set to launch this month selling brands that cater to Black and Brown customers.
Co-founded by nyakio Beauty founder Nyakio Grieco and e-commerce platform 11 Honoré ceo Patrick Herning, the platform is described as reframing how Black and Brown beauty brands are perceived from both an industry and customer perspective, and is said to give each brand a platform to educate and reach a wider audience.
The platform will launch with 13 brands that are not all necessarily Black-owned, says Thirteen Lune, but are relevant to the needs of Black and Brown customers across skincare, haircare and bodycare.
Brands include Afro Pick, Beija Flor Naturals Buttah Skin and Bomba Curls.
In addition to selling product, the site is positioned as a storytelling platform for the history of Black and Brown communities across Thirteen Lune’s homepage, social media channels and on an editorial hub as longer form content.
