French fragrance house Parfex (part of Croda) inaugurated its new Creative Center in Grasse, France on June 12. The inauguration event also marked company’s 40th anniversary.
Parfex invested €8m in the new 2,550m2 (27,447ft2) Creative Center, which includes 800m2 (8,611ft2) of lab space and 1,750m2 (18,836ft2) of office space. Built with sustainability in mind, the center consumes three times less energy-per-square meter than the previous site, despite being 2.5 times larger.
Parfex says the center marks the beginning of a new phase of expansion for the company.
Parfex plans to completely rebuild its production site, tripling its footprint by 2027. The aim is to increase industrial capacity in line with its goal of doubling its revenue every five years.
The company used the occasion of the inauguration to look back on its history—from its creation in 1985 by Joël and Brigitte Sabas to its integration into the Croda group in 2021—and to share its vision for the future, which it says is centered on bespoke, creative and sustainable perfumery.
