AI and AR beauty company Perfect Corp has launched new technology aimed at helping brands provide consumers with personalized product recommendations without the need for questionnaires or quizzes.
Called AI Face Analyzer, it detects some 70 facial characteristics, including face, eye, brow and lip shapes, in addition to color and shade detection for eyes, eyebrows, lips, hair and skin tone. The technology helps brands better understand a user’s physical attributes, says Perfect Corp, and offer more customized product recommendations for make-up, eyewear, earrings and other jewelry, and hats.
Customers can then use the AI-powered YouCam AR virtual try-on to virtually try on products on their smartphone or desktop. Perfect Corp claims the AI Face Analyzer and YouCam AR virtual try-on technologies boost consumer purchasing confidence and increase sales conversion.
