P&G sales up 5% in first quarter

P&G’s net sales for the first quarter of its fiscal year 2022 (three months ended September 30) rose 5% year-over-year to $20.3bn. Beauty segment net sales increased 5% (+2% in organic sales) to $3.96bn, while Grooming net sales were up 5% (+4% in organic sales) to $1.7bn.

Skin and Personal Care organic sales increased low single digits primarily driven by pricing and higher volumes, partially offset by negative geographic mix.

P&G maintained its outlook for fiscal 2022 all-in and organic sales growth in the range of 2% to 4% versus the prior fiscal year.
