French men’s grooming brand Plisson Paris 1808 has launched a line of fragrances inspired by French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, whom the brand says was one of its earliest customers.
Called Collection 1808, the fragrance line comprises six fragrances, each representing a different facet of Napoleon. Noblesse des Bois and Le Temps des Conquêtes were created by Takasago’s Marine Ipert, Voyage de l’Empereur and Âme Insulaire were composed by TechnicoFlor’s Vincent Ricord, and Laurier Impérial and Jour de Sacre were created by Robertet’s Alexis Dadier.
The fragrance bottle uses the guilloché technique, like the brand’s shaving brushes and razors, where fine, rhythmic patterns are engraved into metal, glass and other materials. The bottle features a compact feather motif engraved into the glass and the golden cap, which has a satin finish. A feather-like pattern is also embossed onto the box. Plisson’s signature eagle logo appears on top of the cap.
The fragrances are priced at $230 for 100ml. A travel set comprising six 15ml bottles in a premium box is priced at €180, while a discovery set comprising six 2ml sprays is retails at €24.
