Shiseido Travel Retail marks International Women’s Day

Vocational training at Friends-International

Shiseido Travel Retail is marking International Women’s Day (March 8) by highlighting its ‘Empower Her’ program that aims to advance gender equity and equality.

The Empower Her initiative, which is run in collaboration with Friends-International, offers education, training and support services for almost 300 women and young people in Southeast Asia.

The Empower Her program was launched in 2020.

Through its partnership with Friends-International, Shiseido Travel Retail says it is helping women and girls in Cambodia to become self-reliant through Friends-International’s beauty vocational training program at the Friends Futures Factory (F3). F3 provides access to beauty, hospitality and customer service skills to prepare participants for careers in the cosmetology and tourism industries.

Shiseido Travel Retail has provided funding and donated beauty products to the vocational training program at F3.

In addition, Shiseido Camellia Day is marked each year among employees with initiatives to support Friends-International and other non-governmental and non-profit organizations.

Shiseido’s social contribution program, the Shiseido Camellia Fund, provides support to these organizations through employee donation-matching programs and by contributing on behalf of partners during the holiday period.
