Cruise retailer Starboard Cruise Services (LVMH) has promoted Lisa Kauffman to Chief Sales and Marketing Officer and Mike Turek to Chief Data Analytics Officer. Both appointments went into effect on January 1, 2023.
Kauffman was named Starboard’s Chief Marketing Officer in 2019. Prior to joining the cruise retailer, she was Chief Marketing Officer at apparel company Perry Ellis International, where she was responsible for over 25 brands.
Meanwhile, in Turek’s new role he will oversee Starboard’s business intelligence team and information technology department as the cruise retailer aims to accelerate its data optimization, automation and process improvement sectors. Prior to his promotion, Turek was the company’s Chief Commercial Officer.
Starboard says that Turek’s appointment, in addition to this new structural model, was inspired by other LVMH brands, which have focused on using data in their business strategies.
