Symrise has appointed Michael Friede President Scent & Care and Executive Board Member.
Symrise CEO Jean-Yves Parisot has headed the Scent & Care division on an interim basis, since Jörn Andreas left the role in September 2024.
Friede has been a member of the management board of chemicals and ingredients distribution company Brenntag SE since 2023, where he was CEO of Brenntag Specialties leading the Life Science and Material Science specialty chemicals segments globally.
The Scent & Care segment, comprising fragrance applications, aroma molecules and cosmetic ingredients, generates annual sales of around €2bn.
