Tax Free World Association (TFWA) has named Franck Waechter as Managing Director, effective November 2.
A French national, Waechter has worked with a number of brands including L’Oréal, Givenchy, Guerlain, Champagne Laurent-Perrier and Valmont.
Waechter replaces John Rimmer, who announced in August that he would leave the association.
“With an impressive track record in strategic development, financial analysis and leadership gained in a wide variety of roles across a broad spectrum of organisations, Franck brings with him solid commercial skills which will stand the Association in good stead as we focus on providing a vital business platform for the industry as it returns to growth,” comments TFWA President Erik Juul-Mortensen.
