TFWA reveals details of reimagined Singapore show

Travel retail association TFWA has unveiled some details of what it calls a “completely reimagined” Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference, set to take place in Singapore in May.

The main changes for the event are two new platforms: World of Innovation and Taste of the World. The association says these platforms are designed to reflect travelers’ evolving expectations.

World of Innovation is said to be a showcase of the latest technologies, new retail concepts and products. The space will feature a large amphitheatre for talks, events, workshops, start-up pitches and product reveals.

Taste of the World is positioned a gastronomy hub and recognizes the growing importance of F&B for travelers. F&B now accounts for 20% of total airport dwell time and up to 50% of non-aeronautical airport revenues.

The space will combine brands, live demonstrations and beverage-led formats. The TFWA Asia Pacific Lounge will also be integrated into the space.

In addition, this year’s event will have a re-designed layout with category-focused halls. Level 1 will be dedicated to Perfumes & Cosmetics and Fashion, while Basement 2 will house Wines & Spirits, Confectionery and Tobacco.

Each ‘world’ will be marked by a central icon serving as a meeting hub. These hubs will include LED screens for advertising and sponsorship opportunities.

The TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference will take place from May 10-14.
